Term Definition
One Piece Flow

A type of process where each product moves individually through a system to help avoid downstream waste from waiting, overproduction, and excess inventory. It is generally considered to be a better form of process flow compared to batch processing, but it is only effective when the system equipment and operators can sustain the flow.
