7 Deadly Wastes

These describe the most common types of waste lurking in a process. They are frequently referenced by the acronym TIMWOOD and are Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Over-Production, Over-Processing, and Defects. Some variations of these wastes also include Skills in referring to under-utilized capabilities.
